Tonight The First Creation died for the first time on the server Antonius Bayle, beaten by the combined effort of the members of Raging Fury.

So without any further comment I have the great honor and the privilege to present to you the victorious team standing next to the body of the vanquished enemy:

The First Creation beaten

The end of an expansion calls for some reflection about the expansion itself and the circumstances, under which progression through it happened. Let me just say that the last weeks I have felt a drive and a motivation in the guild which I hadn't sensed for quite some time. After being behind Shadows of Doom on the first events catching up with them during the end of Tier 7 gave a new motivation and focus to everyone in RF. We started to add an additional raid day and raid evenings became longer and longer, just because everyone knew we were close to the end. It felt like a race and that feeling gave invigoration to all our members and made it possible for people to raid till midnight, although many of us had to work the next day. The effort paid off in the end,: we were able to take back the number one spot on Antonius Bayle!

Let me congratulate those guilds who have finished the expansion before us in a legitimate way, I leave it upon everyone for himself to decide what guild to count among those. Let me also thank Shadows of Doom for giving us such a close race, you pushed us to give 100 percent, I am sure you guys will get it down soon too.

Let me also say "thanks" to our raid leaders, who have worked very hard to develop and improve our strategies and tactics and to our recruiters who got us the quality people we needed to fill our ranks. But most of all, I thank all the members of RF for showing the will and strength to overcome one of the hardest expansions in all the history of EverQuest.

Almost 10 months after its release only 4 guilds on all servers have beaten it and I doubt that this number will be more than doubled before the next expansion and level 90 will help more guilds to finally push through.

After the playing field got leveled during the all-to-easy SoD, now was the time to show what a guild is capable of: some new guilds rose to high peaks, some old high end guilds fell deep. Let me take this moment to salute a final time to Tide, it is always sad to see a once strong and proud guild like that collapse - may the former members find new homes in other guilds

.Some of those members have already joined our guild and have helped us to once again claim our place among the top 5 guilds on all the servers in EQ for the tenth time in a row! Yes, Raging Fury has been among those front runners since GoD and I think that is an achievement shared by no other guild in this game. I consider it an honor to be leading a guild which has left its footprints in the history of EverQuest for such a long period of time. I am sure we will be leaving our marks in House of Thuleto.

Until then enjoy the rest as I will enjoy not having to write news until 1:30 in the morning!

05.09.2010 Raging Fury enters Convorteum by Imrahil

Not long ago I have promised the regular visitors of the Raging Fury news section that there would be more groundbreaking totally awesome news soon. OK, and here at RF we like to stand to our promises so I proudly present the following newsflash: Raging Fury has entered Convorteum, the final zone of Underfoot!

Before we were able to enter there though we had to hit some sense into Brell Serilis. Now, what is more fun than hitting fat dwarves or pesky gnomes? Hitting their creator himself for all the ugliness he has brought into the world! I have to admit though that Brell does have some nasty tricks which can make a raid wipe almost instantly. Anyone else thinks that events like bonus experience weekends are mainly invented to give raiders a chance to win back their loss from deaths over the last week? Just kidding of course, I know everyone loves those weekends, it is just the fact that Underfoot has been rather unforgiving and I haven't had to click "yes" to a rezz request so often in one expansion for quite some time (actually I doubt even GoD killed me that often). I am not complaining, I like hard expansions, it's just an observation from a tank class in Underfoot, if you know what I mean.

Anyway, after a week of banging our heads against the walls in Brell's Temple we managed to turn the table and bang his head against the wall until he finally gave in:

Enough of this! Clearly you are strong and determined to ext... I had hoped to advoid this, yet I always knew his creation w...

By defeating this event we had also cleared the last obstacle on the way to the end zone of this expansion called Convorteum. As has been the case in all the recent expansions the zone itself is identical to the group version and it even has some trash, but so far nowhere nearly as annoying as in previous zones like Tower Of Discord or MMM - thanks for that!

After we had cleared the first trash, we were staring at the big golem who is called "The Gatekeeper":

The Gatekeeper

This first encounter in Convorteum can only be described as a "reward mob" for entering the final zone of this really challenging expansion. If you don't play like muppets (and noone able to enter here would play like that, right? Right!) you can't lose this fight. So after a bit of whacking the golem fell to the ground and we had our first Convorteum loot.

With the success from sunday everyone could see that RF was gaining momentum towards the final goal to beat the expansion while it is still current, so on Monday we continued our march through Convorteum. Neither the Stonewarden nor the Unstable Creation could withstand our relentless assault for long and I am pretty confident that we will be able to overcome more enemies in the next days. Don't expect a long news post every day though, I might limit this to the final victory message if we continue with this speed!

A last word for this posting: we have entered the end zone and are in the middle of the final rush to complete Underfoot before the next expansion House of Thule is out. If we keep up the focus and dedication shown in the last weeks then I am sure that we will be through Convorteum by then. So if you want to be among the very few able to say they have beaten one of the most challenging expansions ever while it was current now is the last chance to join our ranks before we are done with it. At the moment we are mainly looking for shamans and clerics, but we have some spots for other classes too, so speak to our recruiters Brilhasti, Illandra, or Nalelini or talk to an officer.

Expect more news with further victories soon - you know we make good on our promises!

03.09.2007 The Buried Sea finished! by Dalrek

Hell yeah! Raging Fury has completed The Buried Sea expansion by killing the 2 gods Mayong Mistmoore and Solusek Ro in an epic battle. For a couple weeks, we have been clearing Solteris event 1-6 in 1 day, giving us the rest of the week to play with the gods and finally our hard work paid off. I am proud to say we got another serverfirst finish of an expansion, making it 6 out of the last 7 expansions being serverfirsts for us all the way back to Gates of Discord, only missing Vishimtar by 1 day to make a perfect record. Thats a pretty stable performance by the RF team. So now it is time for an update with our recent progress as well as a small recruiting speech at the end of the update

lockout

Since we have defeated the event twice now, we have gotten alot of different loot which was very nice. I am not sure what to think about the 2 augments we have gotten from the event also. In my opinion it is a wasted lootslot, but they went for a nice price, so guess it wasn't all bad. Not to mention all he stuff we get from clearing on the way there. Ofcourse the loot itself holds no value compared to the sense of accomplishment when this finally all worked smoothly. I will not be as bold as to say event 7 is on farm status yet, cause it can still cause us trouble if not 110% focused, but it's starting to look better. Most of the loot we have gotten from the event so far should be listed below for those interested:

lootfinalring lootscimitar lootshield
lootbelt lootpure lootcloak

We all know how Mayong and Solusek Ro looks and noone wants to see their ugly faces more than we have to after working on this fight for a while. So instead I present you with yet another guildphoto, complete with the new dwarf models that noone ever gets tired of looking at! By the way, this is where you have the chance to insert your own character, should you qualify for one of the openings we have in recruiting; standing among friends with slain enemies at your feet.

grouppic

Gratz to everyone present, both inside instance and those who had to sit outside and cheer. You all bring pride to the Raging Fury guildtag. Now we get a couple day of welldeserved break from Solteris before it starts all over when zone repops!

As for recruiting, I am happy to say we have full raids every night and all classes represented. We do however have a rare occasion where we will accept some exceptional applicants in the following classes:

  • Warrior
  • Shaman
  • Shadowknight
  • Druid

Speaking from experience, these openings will be filled very fast, so do not hesitate too long if you have the desire to join us. We have high requirements, but offer alot in return.

19.09.2006 Raging mushrooms! by Dalrek

Ahoy landlubbers! Finally the big day has arrived. Wash your eyepatches, grab your cutlass and your favorite bottle of rum, "International Talk like a Pirate Day" is here! Oh, and The Serpents Spine expansion goes live today too.

It's been a while since our last update, but hopefully it will not be quite as long before our next. What have we been doing for the past 3 months since completing PoR you ask? Mainly we have been pillaging and plundering Demi-reef of Blood and Deathknell Island over and over, but once we got the opportunity to try some new scenery, we pulled up the anchor and set sail for TSS beta. I must say I am impressed by the determintation of the Raging Fury crew. Showing up on beta with no promises of Sweet treasure day after day, is in my humble opinion what seperates this guild from alot of others. It is the willingness to keep going that has made it possible for us to achieve many a serverfirst in the last expansions. Ofcourse the chance to influence the future means alot and I am happy to inform that we have some important stuff going live with this expansion, which has not been mentioned in todays patch message. First and foremost: New illusions! Also please note the nice feature on beta that allows you to see past peoples normal server titles and showing their true nature, revealing people who love Coco Puffs, Lost Beastlords and even Tonfa Queens

Raging mushrooms

Now we are back and ready to make some mobs walk the plank on good old Antonius Bayle. We have a full bloodthirsty crew ready to unleash hell upon TSS. The next weeks will bring much carnage. Grinding is back, new levels and AAs to be gained, new spells to be obtained, new flagging to be done and then we will emerge victorious as always, giants and dragons alike Dead at our feet

Like I said, we have a full and strong crew at the moment. But if you think you have got what it takes, we always have room for a few exceptional players. Exceptional meaning high raidattendance, wellgeared and highly skilled players. As comparison, the average hp in Raging Fury, all classes included, is above 13k, and the average AA count is above 1200. So anguish gear and 500 AA isnt exceptional and wont cut it even if 500 AA is usually enough for some classes. We might consider DP/DK/RZ geared players with MPG trials and DoN AAs done, good 1 group farmable augments and other indications that you are dedicated to the game though. Send a tell to Illandra in game, email her on application@raging-fury.org or use our PM function. The perfect time for joining is now before we get too far into flagging for the TSS endzones

As we all know, switching guilds and maybe even server like alot of our members did, is a big step. I can tell you hard facts about our hitpoints and AAs, I can tell you our average age (educated guess late 20s), percentage of males vs females in guild (approximately 25% girls) and how many US vs euro players we have (50ish% scandinavians, 30ish% other euros and around 10% US players), but some things cant really be explained without letting you take a peak into the daily life of Raging Fury. So to show you how nice people we really are, I present to you.....quote-o-rama!

Quotes

Thats all for this time mateys! We will return soon with some nice screenshots of Dead TSS critters.

23.09.2005 Welcome to Dreadspire! by Nineveh

Sendaii the Hive Queen is Dead and the path to Dreadspire has been revealed, although the two events are not necessarily related.

Deadspire Deadspire
Deadspire Deadspire

We are currently progressing through the initial parts of the Depths of Darkhollow storyline, and while none of the encounters mentioned here have been much of a challenge, relieving Vishimtar and Overlord Mata Muram of their 5 month reign of our newspage was way overdue.

Bloodeye Bloodeye down

Admittedly the launch of DoD transpired sans too much adversity, albeit when encounters yield 54 day lockout timers instead of 4, this is definitely something that requires immediate attention. Also please make sure that those unlucky enough to be zoning from an untimely death as their guild completes an encounter actually receives the reward for the raid in question. Unfortunately I was not able to attend the Emperor Draygun and Council of Nine raids, thus the pictorial coverage is somewhat limited. Further updates to follow.

26.09.2004 Omens of War exploration by Nineveh

Aproximately one and a half week into the expansion most of our guild have breached the level 70 barrier, and without further ado, our exploration of discord commenced tonight within the Muramite Proving grounds. So far these guild trials have proven themselves to be highly innovative, offering both a challenging and enjoyable raid event. Our first completed trial was the test of specialization which was completed sans too much adversity on our second attempt, though admittedly, the lockout timer on these trials can be somewhat of an annoyance. Shortly thereafter we attempted the trial of power, and I think that I speak for the entire guild when I proclaim this to be one of the best encounters ever made in Everquest history. Play nice policies definitely come into play as you attempt to best a guild equipped in full old world planar armour and their original epic weapons. Sadly these remnants of a lost age proved to be beyond our abiLities tonight, though hopefully we can prove worthy adversaries should we meet anew. The test of adaption was next on our agenda, and already some tendencies from the GoD expansion became evident as we bested our second trial of the day.

Master of Speciliazation Construct of Power
Supple Slippers of Transformation Construct of Fire

You have successfully survived the trial of Specialization.

You have successfully overcome the trial of Adaptation.

Gauntlets of Singular Mastery Brute's Gaudy Shoulderspines Supple Slippers of Transformation
Belt of Inevitable Conversion Deathlace

New epic quests were also introduced with the Omens of War expansion, and like many a guild we have gotten a few of them completed, namely the Shaman, Wizard and Beast Lord one. Zorrbald has also wielded his new weaponary, though I had not been able to catch him online for a brief photo session, thus we will have to manage without the latest iksar fashion.

1. Epic - Kunash 2. Epic - Kinder 3. Epic - Nineveh

In lieu of the anticipated Omens of War patch, six of us toyed with the idea of making a dedicated exp team attempting to reach level 70 in the shortest amount of time possible. Once obtaining the first level we decided to continue our session as long as the experience gained remained somewhat equivalent to the starting amount. Personally I would never have expected myself to have the endurance to complete such a task, though as the night passed by, we found ourselves still online, the result being Mitnick, Bendail, Nineveh, Myrian, Missbailey and Frezzer being the first six to adorn themselves with the Omens class title, respectively listed in chronological order.

Level 70
