I thought I should open this thread so al attendees can put in their infos.
What I heard so far was interesting, but I will only put Official stuff in here, some of the dev talk I will add in closed board.
info about EQ:
The next expansion will be released on october 14!
This is way earlier than expected and means that we are on a tight schedule when we want to beat UF before it is out.
There will be another tuning run on the T7 raids soon, so I would like to get that stuff down before the nerf bat hits it.
Next expansion will bring player housing and have 13 new zones. More infos soon.

I like the sound of player housing.
If they put as much effort of it as they did with EQ2 housing then it will be superb

2 new bag slots for starters and then can get/make/find bags with more spaces too!
The player housing looks ok and you can place your own furniture, weapons and trophies as you want them like in EQ2. But I admit Id rather have them use their hours in more content and fixing things than housing. :confused:
Except the housing and the bags they didnt say that much yet about the new expansion. But its supposed to be a sort of dreamworld where various gods will have nightmares.

some more infos:
- level cap will raise to 90
- approx. 1200 new AA (varies among classes)
- beastlords get upgrades (prolly cause Obs annoyed them so much)
- spell runes will likely be distributed in a way that let's the one turning it in decide which sepll to get for it (yay!)
- feerott and PoFear will get a sort of update as they will probably be the entry to the new zones
- the nightmares kikthin mentioned are actually bz prominent characters like Miragul or Al-Kabor, not gods
- 4 raid tiers, first should be between T7 and T8 of UF
- Beta will start on Monday
- Lore weapons will not be possible to put in your house
- you can win trophies and put them in your house and they can add certain tributes

Seems Wizards are going to be stagnated DPS wise again so melee should be top DPS in HoT.

Well, melee with tier8 weapons > casters using UF spells
I'm pretty sure, no matter how stagnated, your HoT spells will be at a level significantly above melee tier8 dps

Our top nuke is going to be 1600 damage higher than SoD. It won't be a huge increase.
From SoF to SoD our top nuke increased by 3826 damage.
Q: Is it worth finishing the UF expansion raid content if the HOT group gear will be close to the quality of the UF raid gear?
A: It is a matter of choice.
That just sound wrong if you could for example equip an entire raid in HoT grp gear and then just advance raidwise in HoT after that.
Q: My raid leader forbids all swarm pets because of push, so could you fix that?
A: Tell your guild leader not to be dumb by eliminating that DPS. Educate your tanks and position the casters better. Play better.

It was a privilege to meet you at the Fan Faire guys.
As expected, I took an immense pleasure sharing those coffees and conversations with :
- the Fan faire veterans Kikthin, Imrahil and Spiritbane,

On a sidenote,

I'm actually glad I didn't go now. I'm not sure EQ and the retarded devs in charge are worth $15/month any more, much less the $$$$ to fly to Vegas.

By the way, I emailed a complaint to Cirque about Criss Angel and got some crappy reply back offering discounted VIP tickets to the next Cirque show I go to...
You should all send in a complaint too! (I also posted on the Luxor FB page. I'm still really pissed off by the show)

What was wrong with the shows?
Criss Angel show was crap for 160 $, very disappointing. I had seen some of his tricks on TV and they were really good - his live show though was indeed a big let down.
All other Cirque shows I have seen so far were amazing (O, Ka, Zumanity), as was "Le Reve", so the disparity was even more obvious.
160 bucks for a show? gezzz.
